Helen Scott
Helen is a London girl, born and bred, who
moved to Hong Kong in 2009 with her former
job in banking. However, unable to conduct
an analyst meeting without thinking about her
next meal, she left the corporate world in 2013
to set up
Mango Menus
. Her website comprises
a Hong Kong food shopping directory, recipes,
restaurant reviews and lots of ideas for planning
kids' meals. She is also a partner in MM Fresh, a wholesale
& retailer distributor of wild fish & grass-fed meat from New
Zealand. She lives in Aberdeen with her husband and two
children, and another en route (child that is)...
Laura Miller
Growing up in Cape Town with three younger
brothers, Laura Miller couldn’t help but be a
tomboy. Climbing trees, playing cricket and
making roads for dinky cars in the backyard
were favourite pastimes – although she
still made time to try on her mother’s shoes
whenever possible. She finally grew her
hair while doing a Masters in Linguistics at
Stellenbosch University, where she also met her future husband.
Thirteen years on in Hong Kong and she is now a proud mum of
two running her own writing and editing business ‘Miller Works’,
and travelling as much as feasibly possible.
